Kilmore & Kilmore Quay

Kilmore Cottage is situated just past the speed limit sign for the village of Kilmore, on the Ballyhealy beach road. Famous for the 200 year old tradition of carol signing in the village church, it has 2 pubs (one of which, Mary Barry’s, does fine food), and a handy Daybreak shop at the corner of our road.

Kilmore Quay, about 3 miles/ 5 km away, is a pretty fishing village which has thatched cottages, a fine marina, a working harbour restaurants and shops and a renowned fish and chip shop. You can enjoy walks through the memorial gardens, down the quay or out on Ballyteigue Burrow. The seaside playground is a must for young visitors and there are benches and tables beside the sea to enjoy a take-out coffee, fish and chips or a picnic.
