Restaurants & Pubs

There 2 pubs in Kilmore village, one of which, Mary Barry’s, serves food and has a beer garden with a bouncy castle at the back in summer. Seafood is a speciality of the area, with locally caught crab, lobster, scallops and mussels being available in every village. Mary Barry’s won “Best Leinster Gastro Pub” again in 2017 and is very popular with our guests. We have torches and reflector jackets in the cottages, so you can safely walk home from the pub if you wish – it’s only 700 m or 0.2 miles.

In terms of dining out or in, there is something locally to suit every pocket and occasion, with Pub food, seafood restaurants such as the Silver Fox, takeaway fish and chips from the “Saltee Chipper” and even a  local fish shop, with locally landed fish, should you fancy cooking your own meals in your holiday cottage.

Button and Spoon” is a charming tea room in nearby Bridgetown that serves lovely food all day and in summer on weekends. They also have a café in Wexford town.

Karoo Farm shop has a lovely day time restaurant and is a great spot for lunch or brunch.
